Until 2008, a small group of dedicated team members worked exclusively for an established company that had spent more than ten years in the business of providing CRM and PRM solutions to Fortune 50 Companies.

Several of the team members began thinking that a lot of their skills and talents could be very useful to companies not quite as large as their Fortune 50 clients. Late one afternoon, after working hard to complete a project for a major client, they were gathering around the watering hole to discuss the day's accomplishment. We cannot remember who it was but someone began talking about smaller businesses and their struggle to adapt to the changing market. With the downturn in the economy, they figured, many firms would be in a position to benefit from big-client experience in a small company package. The other members of the team were in agreement.

The final result of this idea was the development of coconutwater.
